We%26#39;re supposed to be meeting friends in the cocktail bar of the Ritz Carlton when we come to New York - the one with the spectacular views ! We will have our 2 daughters with us, 10 and 15. Is it likely to cause a problem taking them to the cocktail bar ?
thanks.
Ritz CarltonNo. Just know there are 2 RC%26#39;s in Manhattan. It sounds like the one you want is the Battery Park one (alll the way downtown near Wall st.) The bar there is called the Rise bar.
Ritz Carltonthat%26#39;s the one. Thanks. I%26#39;ve taken a look at their web site and the views from the bar look terrific.
We%26#39;re meeting them at around 4-30 ( when the bar opens I think). We%26#39;re seeing the Blue Man Group at Astor Place that particular day as well, so I thought we%26#39;d get the subway over to the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge, walk back over it, then see a bit of Chinatown before heading off to the Blue Man, then down to the Ritz Carlton by subway. Does that sound sensible ?
I%26#39;d don%26#39;t know what time your show is or what time you%26#39;re starting out but it sounds like a lot of walking before your show. Map out your itinerary using hopstop.com and see if you%26#39;ll have enough time. It will take 30-40 mins. to get over to Brooklyn from midtown or above. It will take at least 30 mins. to walk the bridge. If this is a Sun. which is what it sounds like, Chinatown will be packed and busy.
If you%26#39;re going to a 2 pm matinee, meeting your friends at 4:30 may be optimistic since the show lasts 2 hrs. ;) There is no intermission. Make sure everyone goes to the loo before.
the show is at 2pm. Thanks for the advice. I%26#39;ll take a look at hopstop. Maybe we%26#39;ll just walk the bridge before the show and leave it at that.
