Phantom of the Opera Discount Tickets

My husband and I are visting NYC Dec. 25 - 30 and are planning to see The Phantom of the Opera on Dec. 27. I have checked broadwaybox.com and it appears it is too early yet to get discounted tickets? Tickets are available via ticketmaster.com for about $250 total for the 2 tickets. I%26#39;m inexperienced - is this too much? Should I wait until closer to time to order the tickets through broadwaybox.com? Please help!

Thanks!

Phantom of the Opera Discount Tickets

Hi Georgia! Good luck on your tickets. I do know you can score tickets the day of or the day before the show at the TKTS booth. It just depends on if you are set on going to that exact show at that exact time. We got two third row tickets, lower level on the left side of the theatre for $120 from the TKTS booth on Sept 5th. We went to the seaport TKTS booth about a 3 minute wait.

I would suppose the Phantom of the Opera doesn%26#39;t sell out much considering it%26#39;s been playing for so long in NYC.

Phantom of the Opera Discount Tickets

It depends on how fussy you are about where you sit. I think there should be a new discount on broadwaybox after the current one expires. I also think it%26#39;s likely there%26#39;ll be tickets at the TKTS booth. But if that%26#39;s the only date you can go and if you want the best seats (at a reasonable price), then perhaps you should buy them now. You might check www.applause-tickets.com and find out what seats they have and price vs. ticketmaster.

Discounts for Dec 27 for Phantom?

Not likely!

There are rarely ever discounts from 12/25 to 1/1.

They sometimes even raise the ticket prices because all you lovely tourists are in town.

Thanks to all of you for your help. This %26#39;lovely tourist%26#39; sure would be lost without all of your wonderful advice!

i was over in nyc from england last year and went to see phantom of the opera,SUPERB,got 2 tickets from the box office 2 days before,$222.50,could not be bothered to queue at tkts

Phantom of the Opera ticket pricing ==

all performances November 22 - November 25 and December 25 - December 30: $201.50

So, even if there were tickets at TKTS at 50% off, you%26#39;d need $100.75 + $3 for ONE ticket

Enjoy!

SORRY!

That price is for premium seats.

Regular seats are

Orchestra %26amp; Front Mezzanine: $111.50

Rear Mezzanine Rows A-E: $86.50

Rear Mezzanine Rows F-L: $66.50

Normally, rear mezzanine K and L are $26.50.

Yowza! I saw Phantom in July on a Mon night and only paid $73 thru broadwaybox. Bought the ticket a few weeks before the show.
