Big Onion Greenwich Village Tour

6 days to NY and I can%26#39;t wait!!!

I was in Manhattan in April and this time I%26#39;m taking my parents back with me (they%26#39;ve never been to the City) and we%26#39;ll be celebrating my birthday as well.

Last time I was in town I took the Chelsea Market foods of NY tour which was one of the highlights of my trip. I%26#39;d be very excited to do the Greenwich Village one next. However, there%26#39;s also a Big Onion tour of Greenwich Village and I was wondering if anyone has ever done that tour in particular and can provide some info as far as what the focus is (ie: literary? cultural? both?) and did you enjoy it?

Any thoughts would be HIGHLY appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Lucy

Big Onion Greenwich Village Tour

Have not done either, but just wanted you to know everyone seems to LOVE the foodofny tour of the village.

There is a free walking tour on Oct. 6 given by the GV Alliance

and there%26#39;s also this private tour

Big Onion Greenwich Village Tour

I have done the Big onion tour of Greenwich village this summer and loved it. The tour guides are university students who are generally on their PHD%26#39;s. We got one that was really interesting and the tour talks about lots of things: architecture/anecdotes/history and so on. The downside was that we were too many people and you had to scramble to get up close to the tour guide. It is one of the best walking tours I did in the city.
