Hi! I%26#39;m coming to NYC for Thanksgiving and of course want the trip to be full of fantastic food memories. I%26#39;m being bombarded (in a good way) with suggestions from friends.
Any reviews/advice on:
-- Jane?
-- Spotted Pig?
THANKS!!!

Her blog is wonderful! Doesn%26#39;t look like she%26#39;s been to Jane though.
Menupages.com has lots of reviews of both places.

I love reading reviews on www.Yelp.com. Reliably funny and accurate. Check it out!
I really like Jane.
I have never been to The Spotted Pig for dinner (huge crowds and no reservations keep me away), but I eat there about twice a month for Brunch on Sundays - at around 2:00PM - I just love this place, everything about it - it%26#39;s got a great feel/vibe to it, in a super neighborhood with great food. Here%26#39;s a ton of reviews and a video...

Re Jane - this is where I go for burgers in the W Village ever since I discovered that they are much better than the ones at their neighbor across the street - the Corner Bistro. Jane is a big open floor plan American bistro with really good American fare.
liveetotravel..you are thining of Tavern on Jane whichis different than Jane on Houston. Both are different types but both are Excellent!!!.
Tavern on Jane is more pub style but has everything..
Jane has a nicer decor and the menu from what I recall is quite good..
mareff - you are so right - I was thinking about T on Jane - have been to just plain Jane for lunch however and have no lasting memory of that event ;_
Love the Spotted Pig. Be adventerous when you order.
Had brunch at Jane on my last visit and I thought the food was quite good but the server was terrible. He clearly hated his job, slow, slow slow with lots of eye rolling and heavy sighs. I would rather give my money to someone that appreciates my business.
Thanks to everyone for their advice!!
I love the blue cheese burger at the spotted pig. Its a nice spot, but very cramped when busy.
I agree - I%26#39;ve enjoyed Tavern on Jane, too, so if you happen to get mixed up, no worries!
