Subways made easy - thanks GreenWhiteBlue

We just got back from 5 days in NYC. I read the Idiot%26#39;s Guide to the Subway before we went. (See the Sticky) Thanks for all the great info. We went every where on the subway and never had any problems. We even figured out how to tell an express train from a local one.

THANKS!!

You are very welcome indeed -- and I hope that your experience is a reassurance to others that it ain%26#39;t that hard after all!

I can second that, GWBs guide to the subway urged us to embrace this method of getting around. Not only was it superb at informing us of how to practically get around by highlighting the salient points, but more importantly like I say it encouraged us to do this and as such we feel we encountered a huge piece of New Yorkness which was unmissable. We loved the subway and its ambience, experiencing that was def one of the highlights of our NY trip, we became really confident at using the subway, so much so we considered ourselves subway veterans after only 6 days lol.

Thanks once more GWB as I read through it last night just to update myself and noticed that you had addressed the Fulton St layout in detail that I was asking you about a few weeks ago.

Now by rereading it, I know exactly what you were talking about!

so, thanks again!!
