new years eve

hi, i know there are many posts on new years eve but im finding it all abit mind boggling! its hard to know where to go and what to do as ive never been to new york and want to make the best out of the whole new years experience. At the moment im swaying towards a restuarant in times square as it seem the obvious thing to do? anoother option is central park and a nice meal near by but read bad reviews on the boathouse. is there any other places near by with good atmosphere? or maybe around rockfella centre with view of the ice rink?

any suggestions will be very appeciated. thanks

Well, second thoughts?

As for rezzies in Times Square - you may be too late in making one.

Why not just show up at 3 or so in the afternoon, of the 31st and get penned in an area without the use of any facilities and wait until midnight until the ball drops, you%26#39;ll have a lot of company, literally thousands.

Anybody else want to help this misguided soul out?

we spent part of new years eve stood in times square (from around 4pm-8.30pm) then we had reservations for a private %26#39;party%26#39; at Bubba Gump from 9pm which has a view over Times Square. It was about 拢350 for 2 of us but included all your food and drink for the evening and a champagne toast at midnight. About 11.45pm most people came outside to see the ball drop and it was FANTASTIC - brought tears to my eyes!
