I%26#39;m taking my partner to New York for 4 days at Christmas (19th december) and was wondering where the best place to stay is? We want to be close to the action and looking for about a 4 star hotel. We would appreciate any ideas for the best things to do aswell, there%26#39;s so much we want to fit the best things in!!
Best area to stay?
hello nyc is great so no matter where u stay ur gonna love it, i stayed last year for the first time, ithe hotel i stayed in wasnt the greatest but iv heard some greta reviews from friends about the pensylvania hotel. its very central right opposite madison square gardens, 5 mins from times square and the empire state building, if u get a high floor u will have amazing views of the city too.
id suggest goin to see the esb,go ice skating in central park or the rockeffeller centre to see the christmas tree.
times square at night is beautiful and is full of restraunts and places to eat.
also id suggest a visit to china town and little italy the different cultures and food is amazing.
canal street is also worth a visit.
woodbury common shopping trip is discounted designer goods as does jersey gardens. as is soho%26#39;s wonderful boutiques and shops.
u can catch the bus from the port authority to either of these places.
catch one of the many broadway shoes is a must, also try museums and the trip to staten island to see the statue of liberty.
pay ur respects by visiting the world trade centre site, and centurt 21 store is just around the corner
u can also visist strwberry fields if u are a john lennon fan.
the city offers something for everyone so enjoy ur trip ur guaranteed to have a great time.
