Where to Eat?

Suggestions, please....Heading to NYC in November for the day. What%26#39;s a good suggestion for lunch with two teenage daughters? Last year we did the Hard Rock and the wait was 2 hours for a table. We will be in the Times Square/heading up to Broadway area.

Where to Eat?

Don%26#39;t eat at horrible chain restaurants while in New York, that%26#39;s my suggestion.

Look at www.menupages.com

Where to Eat?

My standard reco for teen girls is Vynl. Great bathrooms, decent food, fun drinks for the grown-ups.

Be that as it may, where do you plan on going for the day? If you give us some clues about what your itinerary is, your tastes, budgets, dislikes, etc., we can help. Vague questions get vague answers.

I also do not recco chains - also Broadway is a street not an area.

A quick perusing of menupages.com will give you a listing of restaurants that are much better than HRC or any other mass market place.

Expand your options - if they like Italian try Pietrasantra, corner of 9th Avenue and 47th Street. A local place, good food reasonably priced, very nice atmosphere.

Poppa

I usually suggest China Grill on 6th and 52nd (in CBS building).

Itinerary? HA! We are three girls who having shopping on our mind and that%26#39;s a very spontaneous thing! Ideally for lunch, we%26#39;d like to sit down for a burger or have a hot pastrami sandwich in the Times Square area and not have to wait forever for a table.

Why Times Square area?

If you plan on checking out the indy boutiques of Nolita and the Lower East Side, then why not go to Katz%26#39;s Delicatessen and use their waitress service?

Any of the shooping in the Times Square area will be the same that you can get anywhere else and at any mall in Massachusetts. Why would you shop in that area?? Times Square is the worst place to shop in New York and is generally the worst place to be IMO.

Bobby C, you shouldn%26#39;t presume that all Macy%26#39;s, Gaps, H%26amp;Ms, etc. are created equal!

but.............they are.

True, ours carry more black clothes.

Be that as it may, it sounds like you know exactly what you want to do after all, so perhaps you can try using Menupages.com and search for places in the East or West 30s or 40s.

You can even click on find-a-food to search for a particular dish, such as pastrami.
