Hi,

How come TA hasn%26#39;t got a wap site for its forums. Im kinda surprised to be honest. It would be nice to check out the forums whilst on the go :-)

Okay - a quick WIKIPEDIA search coughed this up:

WAP is an open international standard for applications that use wireless communication. Its principal application is to enable access to the Internet from a mobile phone or PDA.

Yes catherp - I am an addict - luckily I do not have a wireless device so I will not be able to experience the pleasure of surfing from the aforementioned locale.

I%26#39;m with you GBIX ..... why isn%26#39;t there WAP ..... because I for one need my NYCForum capability ..... 24/7. Not that I%26#39;m one bit surprised at all that the TA does not have WAP (you know I also actually had to Google the WAP acronym too). But I too have also once peeked behind the curtain in the magical Land of Oz and discovered that the Wizard isn%26#39;t really a Wizard at all. Here%26#39;s a bunch of suggestions;

1.) WAP is too space-aged for the TA ..... but I%26#39;ve heard rumors that Jane has actually enlisted the help of astronauts at NASA ..... who have put aside their quest to reach Mars ..... to work out the kinks and solve the problem. Yeah right ..... ';Beam me up Scotty.';

2.) In the earliest embryonic days of the TA there was only enough money in the budget for either WAP capability or a red-hydro-powered-laser-propelled-deletion button with tassles. So Jane arm- wrestled the TA engineers ..... the geeks lost ..... and on the seventh day she rest.

3.) Personally ..... I%26#39;m okay with no WAP ..... cause I already solved the problem. I just have one of the cracker jack interns at LOTUSPATH Inc. monitor the NYC Forum while I%26#39;m traveling and instant message my Blackberry with all the latest travel developments ...... like where did Livetotravel eat diner last night, what is Bettina wearing today and has Chipper figured out why all those Brooklyn turkey%26#39;s are so skinny.

4.) There%26#39;s no WAP capability but Jane does have a really cool Batwoman-esque utility belt.

5.) The TA has leap frogged ahead of the rest of their travel website competitors and has actually been secretly developing the technology to send mind numbing brain waves to all international travelers en route with questions about ..... tipping customs, knock-off hand bags and appropriate places to wear a kilt.

6.) If there was mobile capability ..... then I might have to answer travel questions even when I%26#39;m on the go .... wait ..... coincidently I%26#39;m just on my commute to work right now as we speak ..... and I see a traveler to NYC who needs my help ..... please wait right here while I pull over to answer this traveler%26#39;s hotel related question ..... ';Yes ..... I hear god things about the Marriott'; ..... okay done ..... another happy traveler ...... now where were we before ..... oh yeah ..... I would have to answer travel questions. See what I mean ?

7.) It%26#39;s a dirty secret but the TA actually does have WAP capability ..... only just not for ..... YOU !!!!

8.) There%26#39;s no WAP capability ...... but come to think of it ..... how can you even be sure the TA exist at all ......maybe it%26#39;s all an evil illusion or a bad nightmare ..... maybe right now you%26#39;re actually asleep in bed dressed in your Spiderman PJ%26#39;s ..... while the willy Jane manipulates your every brain wave. Oh ..... she both evil and willy that Jane.

9.) The TA had WAP capability but the whole system was held together with some string, rubber bands, duct tape and Elmer%26#39;s Glue ..... so when a giant cockroach climbed into the works ..... the whole thing exploded into a supernova fireball.

10.) Do you really care what the people on the TA NYC Forum are thinking anyway ?

Nice one, Lotus. Just one small correction. You need to know that ';wily'; just has the one ';L';. Spell it with 2 and it means something completely different over here. Not a word that should be associated with Jane or that she would approve of. You don%26#39;t want her to start fulminating again do you?
