questions about our ';Wicked'; night

My husband and 2 daughters (12 and 13) have tickets to see Wicked on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.I think the show starts at 7:30 that night. We are staying at either The W or The Doubletree Suites in TS (have rez. at both, can%26#39;t decide which one)...Thinking that rather than go to dinner at 5:30, maybe we could go to The View at the Marriot around 6 for drinks and light appetizers, then go to the show, then maybe a nice, but quick dinner after the show. Is the Wicked Theater close to The View and would it be hard to get a table for drinks and appetizers at 6....and...if that works, then is there an obvious restaurant close to the theater that we could get a quick but tasty bite after the show?

You%26#39;re only about a 10 min walk or so between the Marriot and Wicked. Its about 3-4 blocks.

Doors for Wicked open at 7...just give yourself time to hit the ladies room before the show starts since Act 1 is long!!!

What kind of food do you and your kids like? There%26#39;s a ton of places in that area you could go to between Wicked and your hotel. Junior%26#39;s (on 45th) is good, Pigalle on 8th near Wicked is open 24hrs and gets raves from my friends, John%26#39;s Pizza (on 44th) always works...and if you want to go to 42nd Dallas BBQ has some good food too.

forgot to add: If you%26#39;re only getting 1 hotel room. you%26#39;ll probably have more space at the Double Tree. I%26#39;ve stayed there and the bathroom is quite large and i had 2 sinks, there%26#39;s a whole other room with a tv and pull out sofa bed. The adults can watch in one room and the kids in another. The extra space and extra bathroom space in general may be helpful for 4 people...esp throwing 2 pre teens in the mix.

First, totally agree that with 4 of you, the Doubletree is a much better choice. Not as nice a hotel, but the space will be worth the compromise imo.

The hotel is at 47th st. %26amp; B%26#39;way. The show is at 51 st %26amp; B%26#39;way. The Marriott is at 45-46 %26amp; B%26#39;way. So while the Marriott/View restaurant isn%26#39;t very far, it is in the ';wrong'; direction from your hotel to the theater. If you%26#39;d like to go though, not a big problem but I would go at 5:30 to give yourselves plenty of time and I%26#39;d use the bathrooms at the View/Marriott rather than at the theater. Another option if the View seems to crowded, there%26#39;s another bar called the Broadway Lounge on the 8th floor of the Marriott that has a view of Times Square (not nearly as dramatic as at the View though) and it%26#39;s not as well known. Their food/appetizers is good.

For after the show, your hotel is right near Ruby Foo%26#39;s which I think is fun and there%26#39;s a place called Spotlight where people from the audience can perform. The food is getting good reviews on menupages.

Please recheck your tickets, I beleive that Tuesday Night preformances of Wicked start at 7:00 PM. You don%26#39;t want to miss any of the show, it%26#39;s really great. And if you arrive late they often won%26#39;t sit you immediatly, but make you wait for a break between songs. The Giershwin theater is HUGE, and with kids I%26#39;d get there a bit early and take look around, get setteled, use the restrooms, etc (lines tend to be long for the ladies room). I love the show and would not want to miss a minute of it.

Enjoy the show!!!
