New year party

Can anyone reccomend a new years eve party with a great atmosphere under $100-00 per head? preferably near to times square (maybe go out at midnite see the ball drop?) see a few on Joonbug.com but dont know where to start with those ??? they all look the same and the cocktail/dinner dress policy is a turn off.

It%26#39;s not that easy ot just ';drop in'; to see the ball drop. Most of the 750,000 attendees get there at 4 or 5 pm and stand for 6 hours without a restroom in sight. Although, I have a friend who arrives at about 9 pm and stands around 38th Street.

Oops, my math was off. I suppose you%26#39;d have to stand around for 8 hours.

it was only after reading those posts you mentioned above that we opted out of standing out in the cold for 6 hours with no toilet (weak bladder every hour on the dot!) or alchol (not that its my main concern but a beer or 2 and some champagne around midnight is nice)!

Just hoped there would be a side door e.g. a resteraunt/club party we could attend and then pop out and see it all going off! just trying to decide the best way to spend it out of the many options!

The friends I iknow who show up at 9 pm go to Ben%26#39;s Delicatessen. Not a party place, just one of our NYC Jewish delis with pastrami and corned beef, etc.
