I%26#39;m going to a convention at the Marriott Marquis Times Squarenear the end of November, but I%26#39;m looking for a hotel room outside of the ridiculously expensive TS. My hotel budget is low- I can spend about $400-500 total for 3 nights.
I%26#39;m traveling with a friend.. and we%26#39;re both in our early twenties. We%26#39;d like to stay somewhere near restaurants/bars/general nightlife. Neither of us have been to NYC in years so we%26#39;re also looking forward to doing a couple touristy things. :)
Can anyone recommend a decent and relatively inexpensive hotel that might fit within our budget? I%26#39;m willing to take the subway and then walk to the convention in Times Square, but it%26#39;d be nice if the hotel had easy access to the subway and the ride there wasn%26#39;t too long.
Thanks for your info! I love reading these posts!!
Inexpensive hotel for girls weekend
I just returned form the hudson hotel. I really enjoyed it. I won it on priceline. read my review. The rooms are small and the hall is dark but it was still great to me.

If you are wanting 2 beds, Priceline is out.
maybe this is a stupid question, but why is priceline out if I want two beds?
They only guarentee one bed. But the hotel up graded me. It%26#39;s the luck of the draw. You can get 2 beds better chance on hotwire. Thanks broadway, i forgot about that.
The pod is a reasonable hotel and has good reviews. I would try priceline and if you have to share the bed deal with it. hotels are real expensive, especially in november.
Is that just you spending $400-500.00 for three nights or both of you i.e. $800-1000?
There is absolutely no way you will get a hotel room for two people for three nights at the busiest time of the year in New York City paying only $150.00 a night. Sorry to burst your bubble but your budget will have to be increased substantially for you to find something. The only other option would be a hostel with shared bathrooms.
That%26#39;s a great question.
I initially thought she mean $400-500/night x 3 nights = $1200-1500 but now I%26#39;m not sure what she means. :-/
