i phone - Fifth Avenue

Hi All,

Just wondering how much the i phone costs in New York and whether I%26#39;d be able to use it back in the UK on one of our mobile network providers.

Anybody got one? What are your opinions on it?

Thanks.

The iPhone costs around $399 and tied to AT%26amp;T 18 month contract. As far as im aware they cannot be purchase sim free. I heard it can be unlocked but if you run an update it will brick the phone. The iPhone is launching in the UK on 9th Nov through O2. Phone starting from 拢269 which is also tied to an 18 month contract. There is no news on whether any official sim free versions.

Sorry - but the phones can be sold sim-free in the States. $399.00 will get you the phone, however you need to find one with firmware 1.0.2 because the new firmware upgrade 1.1.1 has bricked all the phones. That%26#39;s not to say that hackers aren%26#39;t going to break this upgrade (it%26#39;s only a matter of time), but you may have to wait til it%26#39;s done.

Firmware 1.0.2 has been hacked and is fully functional (except virtual voicemail, which is not that important) -

The Iphone is a great piece of equipment - I love mine.

Peace!

Macca
