when do the stores decorate their windows along 5th ave etc i know the tree gets switched on 28th nov
would like to know about the stores though.

There is nothing like NYC at Christmas. Traditionally, the Macy%26#39;s Thanksgiving Day Parade usually shepards the season in with the arrival of Santa Claus at the end of the parade. By the tree lighting all the stores are in full Christmas mode by then.
You can%26#39;t miss just bring comfortable shoes.
St. Patrick%26#39;s is especially beautiful at Christmas.
A camera is a must. Enjoy.

Everything is usually up by thansgiving which i think is 22ndnov this year. Macys windows are especially nice and holiday lane in macys is not to be missed. Saks 5th ave is also always stunning its near rockefeller plaza which is still very christmassy even if you are too early for the tree. Cheers!
