We will be in the area at the end of September to attend a festival in Saugerties. We are thinking of having dinner in Woodstock one night. We have been there before and had some nice dining experiences but it has been several years and this time we will be traveling with our two young children. Any places you would recommend that has decent food and a kid friendly environment/menu? This will be a celebratory dinner and we may have some friends join us making us a party of 8 or so. Thanks!

A great kid friendly, large group place NEAR woodstock in the Hickory BBQ. Big portions, young wait staff, entertainment in the Dining room on weekends, etc. www. hickoryrestaurant.com. When my husband plays there his nephews and nieces (no one over six) all go and dance and have a great time while the owners/staff enjoy watching them too.

Thanks for the response, I got this a little too late though. We wound up at a very casual cafe with kid friendly outdoor seating in front at the recommendation of a local shop owner. It was a nice night to eat outside so we were fine. I just wish I could remember the name!
We are planning another trip up there later in mid to late October and will definitely keep this place in mind.
