I booked 3 hotels back in August....The W, The Doubletree Suites and The Hampton Inn. I think the W and the DT are right next to each other and right in Times Square, am I right? The Hampton inn is not on the parade route itself, but close. If this is our sole reason for staying in Times Square, which of these hotels is the best choice, if money isn%26#39;t a big issue. Also, I did a search on Orbitz a minutes ago and there are quite a few hotels ';in Times Square'; that are still available the dates I am looking for (Nov. 18-23). I guess I should have asked this earlier, but I did LOTS of researching myself. NOW I am second guessing everything I figured out in August and just want to know what you guys think...keeping the parade as the whole reason for the hotel location. We stayed at The Kimberly last year (can%26#39;t remember where it was, but it was a bit off the beaten path) and we wanted something closer to the parade itself this year. Advice???
Good choice for hotel to see Macys ParadeThe parade goes down Broadway (west side) and Times Square is on Broadway. The Kimberly is hardly off the beaten path, but is on the east side.
There are lots of different Hampton Inns in Manhattan so I don%26#39;t know which one you mean. YOu don%26#39;t say how many you are. If you%26#39;re coming with kids, the Doubletree Suites makes sense. If it%26#39;s just a couple, you don%26#39;t need the suites unless it%26#39;s cheaper than your other options. You%26#39;re not going to have a room overlooking the parade wherever you stay, so it%26#39;s just a matter of how close to walk you are.
Here%26#39;s a map of the parade route

Good choice for hotel to see Macys ParadeWe stayed at the Doubletree 3 or 4 years ago for the parade and it is a great place. Walk out the door and 1/2 a block for a great spot. If you have kids that is the place to stay.
