i cant seem to find a hotel under $300 per night...and its hard to even find that...there mostly $500 a night. i would like something $200 or less.
it will be my husband and 3 children and were looking to come late March.
where to stay??
I honestly think $200 or less is unrealistic even for March.
Especially since you will be needing a room with 2 double beds and a sofabed which makes for a more expensive hotel room.
$200 = $174 + tax
where to stay??
we will need some dates. $200 or less for a suite or a place to accommodate all of you is going to be hard. I would suggest a B%26amp; B Called 1871 house it is a self catering apt style accommodation. they maybe able to help. Anything decent is going to be more than $200. Murray hill east suites, and the affinia group of hotels but now were talking more money. You could try the wellington, nothing fancy but good location. It still may not be in range.
did you check quikbook?
whats quikbook?
the dates are March 25-27
what month do you find the cheaper rates? we wanted to com during our kids spring break.
thanks!
The problem for you is that you need a hotel room that can accomodate 5 people.
Are your children small enough that they can sleep 3 to a double bed?
If not, you are going to need a suites-like hotel room which means $300/night.
we have one 3 yr old, 12 yr old and 14 yr old...all boys.
if we stay outside of NY where can we park? are there alot of parking garages? the things we want to see are statue of liberty, ground zero, maybe walk around time square...
you are driving to the city? Travel inn is the only hotel basic with free parking, I am not sure if it can accommodate you.
If you stay outside the city like in Queens at the anchor inn or the adria Ramada or the adria, you can park the car there included with your stay. You could try New jersey
www.nycgarages.com
www.Iconparking.com
quikbook is a site for hotel rates.
You might want to look into the suites at the Hotel Newton
www.thehotelnewton.com but given that their rooms with two double beds are already priced at $170, the suites will be more.
Outside in NJ, the Embassy Suites in Secaucus, NJ might be an option, but you will have to go back and forth to the city on a bus and even with them the rate is $235 + tax.
The Embassy Suites in lower Manhattan show no availability for your dates.
I think you%26#39;re really going to have to up your budget a bit if you want to stay in Manhattan.
I stayed @ the Wellington with my younger daughter when she was 10;it was fine-not fancy, but good location. Try travelaocity.com-we%26#39;ve gotten good rates with them..also,try to call hotels%26#39; managers-see if they%26#39;ll help you out with price(children and all)can%26#39;t hurt to try!
yeah i guess im going to have to shoot for the $300 range...but no way am i doing $500! lol
ill check out some of those hotels mentioned.
thanks
Travel Inn has a few larger rooms as does the Skyline Inn and
what you will save in parking can go for entertainment, good
food, or a few dollars above $200 if necesary.
