parking in soho?

last time we drove in for the day from our 3 hours away, we just dropped into a parking garage...but the disadvantage is not being able to easily unload shopping bags throughout the day. So for one day%26#39;s parking, is street parking feasible anywhere, and how safe is it?

It%26#39;s fairly feasible and I%26#39;d say generally safe, but you need to read the signs so you don%26#39;t get a ticket.

Re: safety - you will reduce the safety significantly if you use your car as a publicly-viewed ';storage facility'; for your shopping purchases.

Nothing screams ';break into my car'; more than the owners putting bags from boutiques or the Apple Store in the trunk (boot) or back seat of a car, locking up and walking away for an hour.

I%26#39;d use a garage staffed by humans and cameras.

thanks -- I was worried about leaving things in the car....just carry it all, I guess. Or exercise prudence rather than our arms....
