Hi there, it%26#39;s a great place to visit. It would probably take you an afternoon to get around.

if you plan to visit the SOL/Ellis island you should do it on the same day you visit the museum. The ferry to the SOL leaves from Battery Park. The museum is a 5 minute walk from Battery Park.

The museum is a good visit.

Well, I%26#39;m not going to deny that it can be sad, but it is a cool museum. It does a great job of balancing the pain of the past with the hope of the future. Interesting and creative exhibits.

I agree, nice compliment to other historical sites in the Battery. Afterwards, walk north along the river and check out the Irish Hunger Memorial. Another excellent memorial.

The Jewish Museum (not the same) has a very good exhibit of Pisarro paintings if you enjoy art.
