Getting from JFK Airport to Manhattan

Hi, I hope you can help we... We will be visiting New York at the start of December and I%26#39;m wondering which is the best way to get from JFK airport to Manhattan, our hotel is located a few blocks off times square so any information would be an amazing help. I would prefer to use public transport..

Remember that ';best'; and ';cheapest'; are usually not the same thing. AirTrain to the subway or LIRR is very easy. You can also take the Airport Bus. (NOT the Super Shuttle. Whatever you do, don%26#39;t take the SuperShuttle.)
