Dinner & theatre Tickets

Here in London you can book Dinner %26amp; theatre Tickets on lastminute.com at reduced prices is there a similar site for New York?

Dinner %26amp; theatre Tickets

Restaurant.com sells gift certificates to restaurants at less than 50 percent of their value.

There are lots and lots of places to get discount theater tickets. Apart from the TKTS booths in NY (similar to the one in Leicester Sq), I like BROADWAYBOX.COM. On their home page, ignore everyrhing except the list of shows in the left column. Click on the one you want, and look for discounts on the pages that follow. (Look carefully as the deals have expiration dates and may only apply to certain days or performances).

NOTE: There may be more than one deal for each show so keep scrolling down. Also, sometimes a deal has expired but you can still buy the tickets at the lower price. For each deal, there is a code. Make a note of it and use it either online, on the phone or in person at the box office. (Directions are on the page where the discount is listed).

Good luck!

Just a couple of things to add:

If you plan to buy your discount tickets at the box office, you%26#39;ll need to bring a print-out of the coupon, the code itself isn%26#39;t good enough.

If you order in advance, I recommend you phone the ticket agent instead of just doing it online. It%26#39;s easier to deal with a live agent to get the best seats available. You can also see most theater seating charts on playbill.com -- the link is on the lower left of the home page.

I%26#39;d suggest ordering one show in advance, and then bringing with you print-outs of others you might be interested in. That way, if you decide you want to see another show, you can avoid the TKTS lines and go directly to the box office.

www.applause-tickets.com is a broker that sells dinner/theater packages. You%26#39;re not getting the theater tickets at a discount. In many cases you%26#39;re paying more for the tickets than the face value, but the add on dinner options can be good value and it may be a way to get tickets for a show otherwise unavailable. I%26#39;d just be careful b/c often the restaurants included in a package are often not very good and may be at places that can%26#39;t fill themselves up any other way. Places like Broadway Joe%26#39;s are just dreadful. So before picking any restaurant, I%26#39;d check reviews on menupages.com Not saying this is always the case with applause tickets, btw.

telecharge and broadway.com both off dinner and a show packages, but they are no bargain and the restaurants are very average. You are better off picking up discount show tickets thru broadwaybox.com and booking a restaurant on opentable.com.
